AIKIDO
Three decades on the mat. Still a student.
Aikido is the way I learn to listen with my whole body. It shapes how I lead, how I argue, how I lose. I teach, I train, I keep showing up.
RANK & LINEAGE
5th Dan
Certified by Aikido World Headquarters (Hombu Dojo, Tokyo) — the global home of Aikido founded by Morihei Ueshiba.
Three decades
On the mat. As student, as uchi-deshi, as instructor, and back to student again.
WHAT I DO IN AIKIDO
Teach — Regular classes for students at every level.
Lead seminars — Sessions and intensives in Dubai and beyond.
Attend seminars — A black belt is still a beginner. I travel to learn.
WHAT THE MAT HAS TAUGHT ME
01 You cannot block a force. You can only meet it and move with it.
02 Centre first. Everything you do collapses without it.
03 The teacher’s job is to disappear into the student.
04 Falling well is a skill. Most of life is uke, not nage.
05 Mastery is showing up the day after you no longer have to.
